ICH (International Council for harmonisation)
• ICH is defined as international council for harmonization (earlier known as
international conference on harmonization) of Technical requirements for
registration of pharmaceuticals for human use.
• ICH is a joint process involving both regulatory and Research based industries,
representatives of various countries like EU, Japan and US in scientific and
Technical discussions of testing procedures which are required for assessment
and ensuring the efficacy, safety and quality of medicines.
• ICH Secretariat is based in Geneva.
