Pharmacological screening of drugs is a sequential testing of new chemical entities or extracts from biological material in isolated organs followed by test in whole experimental animals.Simple pharmacological screening involves only one or two basic tests to determine the pharmacological activity of the compound, e.g. measurement of blood pressure to screen the antihypertensive activity of the compound.
