Description

Measures of central tendency are statistical measures that represent the typical or average value of a set of data. They include:

1. Mean: The arithmetic mean is the most commonly used measure of central tendency. It is the sum of all the values in a dataset divided by the number of values.

2. Median: The median is the middle value in a dataset when the data is arranged in order. It is used when the dataset has outliers or when the distribution is skewed.

3. Mode: The mode is the most frequently occurring value in a dataset. It is used when the dataset has a lot of repeated values.

These measures help in summarizing the data and understanding its characteristics. They can be used in various fields such as finance, healthcare, education, and social sciences.
