WHAT IS A PHC ?
PrimaryHealth Centre (PHCs),sometimesreferred to as
public health centres, arestate-owned rural health care
facilities in India. Theyare essentially single-physician clinics
usually with facilities for minor surgeries, too.Theyarepart
of the government-funded public health system in Indiaand
arethe most basic units of this system. Presently there are

TYPES OF PHC
There are 2 types of PHC’s.They
are:-
Type A PHC: PHC with delivery load
of less than 20 deliveries in a
month,
Type B PHC: PHC with delivery load
of 20 or more deliveries in a month
