Q.3  A cantilever beam 1.75 m span is subjected to u.d.l 75 KN/m and a point load 10
of 50 KN at free end. Find slope and deflection at free end. 
Take E= 200 KN/mm2 , I=6 x 108 mm4.

  OR 

Q.3  A hollow circular C.I column has external diameter of 500mm and 50mm 10
thickness, 8m in length. Determine Euler’s crippling load. Take
E=100KN/mm2 and column is fixed at the both ends.

Q.4  A circular column of 450mm in diameter carries a load of 600 KN at an 10
eccentricity of 100mm. Calculate the maximum and minimum stress for the
column. Draw the stress diagram.

Q.4  A simply supported beam of 6m is 300mm X 400mm in section. It carries 10
central point of 10KN and u.d.l 15KN/m over entire span. Calculate
maximum slope and deflection, Take E= 2 X 105 N/mm2.
