water tank to store 8 Lac liters. The height of staging = 16 m. The SBC of soil =
150 kN/ m2. The intensity of wind pressure = 1.5 KN / m2. Use M 20 concrete
and Fe 415 steel. Sketch the dimensions of Intze tank.

(b) Give the difference between: 05

Q.4 (a) Fix the basic preliminary dimensions of various components including stem of a 10

cantilever retaining wall to retain the earth of height 6 m above lower ground
level and carry out stability checks. Take SBC of soil = 210 kN/m2 Ø = 300 , µ
= 0.5, Unit weight of soil = 15 kN /m3 . Use M 20 grade of concrete and Fe-415
grade.
