INTRODUCTION:-

A wide variety of baby products are required throughout a baby’s growing
stages, from a bathing kit to toys. Parents should be careful during
choosing a product for the baby. The cosmetics should not be heavily
perfumed or even remotely carcinogenic. pH balanced products are
available in the market. It is safest to go for those products only.

Use of mild soaps, shampoos, wipes, lotions and oil ensures the protection
of the baby’s delicate skin. Every parent should keep a first aid kit ready at
all times.

This saves a lot of trouble from fishing for supplies around the house during
an emergency. Maintenance of proper hygiene is very important. A very
careful survey of the best diapers for the child must be done.

Baby skin care is a delicate matter. In the early months, as a baby’s
immune system develops, we have to use the mildest cleansers and the
smallest bit of lotion. But when dry skin, eczema, and diaper rash
appear, it’s time to treat those problems.

Read labels carefully. Baby skin-care products that contain dyes,
fragrances, and chemicals can irritate a baby’s skin and breathing.

Natural baby skin care products are safe for most infants. But if
there’s allergies or asthma in the family, a newborn may also be
sensitive to botanicals and herbs in some products.

The label “hypoallergenic” can be misleading. The term means that
the product is less likely to cause an allergic reaction, but that doesn’t
necessarily mean the product is gentler on the skin than other products.

Look for products that are phthalate- and paraben-free. Those
chemicals are potentially harmful to babies.

Baby Skin Care Products:-

Baby soaps, washes/cleansers, and shampoos: Cleansers and washes
are mild and safe for newborns. But use baby soaps sparingly, as they can
dry newborn skin.
Baby lotion: Helps moisturize newborn skin. Use sparingly on tiny
newborns.
Petroleum jelly: Can be used to treat diaper rash. It provides baby’s skin
with a protective barrier against moist diapers.
Diaper rash ointment: Provides baby’s skin with a barrier to moisture —
protecting newborn skin so wet diapers don’t irritate.
Baby oil: This classic is best used as massage oil for newborn skin, not as
a moisturizer. Newborn skin does not absorb it well.
Baby laundry detergent: Look for baby detergents that are free of
perfumes and dye. Regular detergents are too harsh for newborn skin. The
same applies when choosing dryer sheets.
Baby powder: If using baby powder, try to find powders that are talc free
and take care to keep it away from baby’s face and genitalia. The talc or
cornstarch in the powder can cause breathing problems.

MEN’S RANGE OF PRODUCTS: INTRODUCTION:-

Given today’s busy lifestyle, proper skin care is just as important for men as
for women. In today’s world, men are expected to present themselves with
crisp style and confidence, in both the world of business and leisure. This
makes skincare an inseparable part of their lives now.

There is no major difference between a male and female skin apart from
some physiological differences. Male skin is thicker, oilier given the larger
and numerous sebaceous glands which are active as they are majorly
influenced by male hormones.

The oiler skin makes them want to wash their face every now and then. But
using harsh sulphate cleansers or a soap bar can completely strip off the
natural moisture of their skin.

The above mentioned factors as well as constant shaving makes men’s
skin sensitive and prone to skin conditions ranging from acne, extremely
dehydrated skin, dullness and shaving ingrowths.

A face wash :-
Keeping your face clear and bright is the foundation of a men’s skin care
routine. Make sure using your face wash in the morning when you wake
up, to look refreshed and energized and then before bed in order to
prevent any oil or impurities from sitting in your pores at night.

body wash:-
The quickest way to get sweat, dirt and oil off body is to use body wash for
men.

Shampoo:-

every two or three days a week is the recommended amount of times to
apply shampoo and to have a good healthy hair.

Deodrants:-

In theory, the fragrances used in men’s deodorants might be better at
masking body odour. Men’s deodorants typically glide and are gel-
based because that delivery method is often better for men.

Bathing bar:- Moisture balance is the key to healthy skin.
Men’s skin can also be oily. Body hair and excess sweat can cause a slick
situation. Use a bar soap specially formulated to control oil,

Shaving cream:- helps to keep moisture in the beard hairs during
the shave, leaving them softer and easier to cut. … Shaving
cream creates a thin layer of protection between the blade and the skin,
ensuring less friction and minimising the risk of of redness, shaving rash,
and irritation – and fewer nicks and cuts. The use of cream achieves
three effects: lubricates the cutting process; swells keratin; and
desensitizes skin.
